Help Save Lives! (general information – scroll down for an update)
Wahlander is dedicating all proceeds from the songs ”Pick Up the Guitar, Sasha”, “Farmers of Ukraine” and ”Crashing Down” to the struggling and war-torn Ukraine. Revenues include all royalties and any income associated with the songs, such as live performances and merchandise sales. All proceeds will go directly towards purchasing an ambulance and essential medical equipment. As no record company or publisher will take a portion of the proceeds. We urge you to share the songs on social media to help us reach our fundraising goal and save lives.

The fundraiser, ”AmbulanceByWahlander”, aims to secure an ambulance, fully equipped with medicines and essential equipment, and deliver it to Ukraine. The project is facilitated by collaboration with a few the Swedish volunteer organisations which will assist in various ways. Wahlander will use this page to announce forthcoming payments from donators and from the Swedish collecting society (STIM), to which he is affiliated. The song was officially released on March 16, 2024, at 11:49. Therefore, the first revenues will only appear in the payment made on September 17, 2024. The ambulance fundraising will continue until announced here. Slava Ukraini!

Hello dear friends and donors!
Many of us want to help Ukraine. Individual volunteers, spontaneously formed support groups, and more established aid organisations have made a significant impact—both practically and as moral support—throughout the three difficult years Ukraine has endured. Working together makes the effort easier, but it’s not always clear who is active and what these individuals or organisations are doing. I have personally been looking for people with experience and networks to collaborate with, and I’ve been in touch with several different organisations.
Recently, through my friend Nikki O’Neill, I got in contact with a division of the Lions Club outside Lund, and this has meant a lot. These people have extensive experience specifically in sending ambulances to Ukraine. They have just sent one ambulance and have already started raising funds for another. It’s a small but active group that organises bazaars and other fundraising efforts. They have now promised to purchase the next ambulance together with me, and the Lions Club headquarters has committed to doubling all funds raised in this joint effort between me and the local branch in Lund.
I’m happy to share that the first ambulance we’ve been fundraising for is about to become a reality. At the turn of the year, I summed up the donations collected so far: 34,611 SEK, which I have now transferred to Lions. This means the amount has doubled to 69,222 SEK, which is estimated to cover about half the cost of the ambulance. Right now, we’re searching for a suitable vehicle that we can equip with necessary supplies. My hope is to set off with this ambulance in March—who knows, maybe even by the end of this month?
Of course, the fundraising will continue, and more vehicles will be financed. I see that you are still donating via both payment platforms, which is truly amazing!

PS. The songs supporting this fundraiser and raising awareness about Ukraine will soon have company. And several people with a larger audience than myself (read celebrities!) have expressed interest in contributing. Exciting times ahead!
